Job Family Rigs Contract Type Direct Location Business Line New Build Rigs Department NBR Projects Closing Date 30-May-2024 Overall responsible for the scaffolding works for new build rig. The ability to envision the scaffold site requirements for future potential works as per construction sequence. To plan and supervise the erection, removal and maintenance of the scaffoldings and the supporting accessories. He must possess the ability to execute his jobs safely, on time and within budget. To be constantly engaged with project team to render services required on-site.Key AccountabilitesAbility to identify project scaffold needs and propose solutions that add value to the project.Forecast material and labour needs and ensure on-schedule delivery of scaffolding materials and components for project.Responsible for day-to-day project supervision onboard for new build.To ensure safety and quality of work for scaffolders (in-house and sub-contractors) assigned under the person's responsibility)To ensure work is completed in accordance with delivery schedule set up by Construction manager.Ensure day-to-day running of the project is functioning in accordance with the project schedule and budget.To ensure work assigned are carried out effectively and productively within the man hours budget and according to customer's specifications and requirements.Possess strong initiative around decision making and ability to conceptualize plans and technical solutions to deal with a wide array of standard and innovative scaffolding issues.Ensure good coordination and communication between project team, clients and other departments when work is carried out.Proactively identify and resolve any site issues that may impede progress to ensure a constrain free work front.Have weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements, interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors.Should possess strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular basis.Identify the work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze the work problems in writing with own problemsolving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-maker with a strong convincing personality, full readiness with 'Plan B' for any unexpected issues.EducationTechnical Engineering Qualification. (Diploma or equivalent)Bachelor Engineering Degree (preferred).Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English Language.ExperienceFor bachelor's degree holder, at least 9-15 years of experience in shipyard and preferably involved in offshore activities and/or rig building.Diploma holders must have at least 15 years of experience in the same industry and related experience.Experienced in handling rig building and similar offshore related projects which are of high value and with technical complexities.Project management, time management and planning skills.Able to make appropriate decisions and judgments, decisive and take proper actions.Able to lead and manage new build rig construction projects.Able to coordinate and communicate with other internal & external stakeholders in new build projects.Knowledge of shipyard production trade activities.Strong Knowledge in Work pack development and system.Able to lead and manage the Toolbox Talks effectively.Able to build, encourage and lead a team.About Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome yourapplication.Tocomplete the application you would need the following document(s):
