Faculty Positions in Electrical Engineering (CoE#201123)The Electrical Engineering department at Alfaisal University invites applications for full time positions. Specific positions and areas of interest include:1. Assistant, Associate or ProfessorApplicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field specializing in electronic and computer engineering. They should possess a comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and the fundamental principles of electrical engineering. Additionally, expertise in the fields of communications and networks, among others, is highly desirable.The candidate should have prior teaching experience, including both courses and labs, with a focus on student-centered delivery and management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. They should demonstrate a strong research background, with a track record of successful external grant applications, research project management, and consistent publication activity.A proven record of mentoring and advising students is essential, along with a commitment to effective teaching and mentorship. The candidate should also have experience in regional and international accreditation frameworks and procedures, as well as standard departmental services.2. Instructor or LecturerApplicants must have a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in conducting lab sessions, classroom teaching, and course development. Familiarity with local and international accreditation procedures is also desirable.The successful applicant will be expected to participate in administrative and committee assignments for both the department and the college. Additionally, they should possess the ability to develop relationships with industry partners and assist students in securing internships and job placements.Applicants must submit the following documents in a single PDF file:A concise statement outlining teaching goals, design research or scholarship agenda, supported by evidence in the portfolio (not required for instructors).A succinct statement outlining the applicant's design research or scholarship agenda, supported by evidence in the portfolio (not required for instructors).Contact information for three references, including mailing address, telephone number, and email address.Proof of promotion for Associate or Professor ranks (if applicable).Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and the positions will remain open until filled or the search is closed. It was founded in 2008 as a private not-for-profit Institution, where English is the language of instructions. It consists of six colleges: Business, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Law & International Relations, and Science.The College of Engineering has been offering a wide range of degrees and programs through a blend of rigorous and project-based curricula. Currently, the college offers bachelor's degrees in Architectural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, and Software Engineering. These programs are all ABET accredited. In addition, a master's degree in Engineering & Systems Management is being offered in collaboration with the Centre for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology) and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
