ResponsibilitiesOrder tests — including biopsy, blood, and imaging — to confirm a diagnosisProvide patients with detailed information regarding cancer, their prognosis, and possible interventions or treatment options Develop appropriate treatment plans, with measurable goals, that provide the highest level of care while conforming to patient preferenceMaintain quality of life for patients by managing cancer-related pain and the symptoms and side effects of treatmentReassess as disease treatment progresses, and pursue alternative therapies or palliative care when necessaryParticipate in training sessions and correspondence for study protocols and clinical trials, and ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintainedCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to accurately assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plansParticipate as a key member of the patient-care team in implementing treatment plans and monitoring patient progressUtilize and promote approved standards of care, procedures, methods, techniques, safety precautions, and study protocolsParticipate in the development, review, and evaluation of standard operating procedures and study-specific Required skills and qualificationsDoctor of medicine (MD) or MD/PhD, or equivalent, with training in oncology or hematology/oncologyBoard certification relevant to country of hire in hematology/oncology, with licensure in good standingAbility to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other medical professionalsMotivation to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred skills and qualificationsExperience in research and/or clinical protocolsAbility to interpret clinical, genomic, and efficacy dataExperience 5 years at least in oncology center
