In this role, you will be responsible for driving the procurement activities related to mechanical and piping projects, ensuring that all materials and services required are acquired efficiently and effectively.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies specifically tailored for mechanical and piping projects.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess vendor capabilities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with engineering teams and project managers to align procurement activities with project goals.
Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure ongoing alignment and satisfaction.
Analyze market trends and pricing to provide insights for decision-making.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the procurement process.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on mechanical and piping projects.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, materials, and suppliers in the mechanical and piping industry.
Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and suppliers.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate supplier performance.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
