Sales Manager Location: Gunnedah Reference: PHR 2024/014 Pursehouse Rural is a leading independent Agribusiness specialising in agricultural produce, equipment, services and advice across 25 locations in North West NSW and Queensland. We are seeking a full-time Sales Manager to join our team at our Gunnedah Branch. The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities by developing and executing sales strategies for their local market. In addition to this, the successful applicant is expected to provide a high standard of operational support to the Branch Manager and customer service employees. Duties include:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase sales revenue
- Identify and recommend additional product and market opportunities to Branch Manager and relevant Business Managers
- Develop and implement sales strategies which are aligned with the needs of your local market
- Create new and maintain existing relationships with key suppliers and customers, in order to ensure the business is the first choice for customers
- In collaboration with the Branch Manager and customer service employees, arrange the sale and delivery of Pursehouse Rural products and services
- Work in conjunction with the Branch Manager on product pricing to ensure Pursehouse Rural remains competitive
- In conjunction with Branch Manager and customer service employees undertake stock take, purchasing, ordering and inventory control
- Demonstrated experience in Sales and customer service role, preferably in the agricultural sector
- Broad knowledge and experience across core areas of agribusiness eg. seed, fertiliser, chemicals and animal health and nutrition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive supplier and customer relationships
- Proven experience in identifying and addressing market trends and customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for business development
- Excellent organisational, time-management and planning skills
- Valid driver's license
