Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi |The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join our talented and vibrant University Marketing team in a newly created role of Social Media Manager. You will be joining the team at an exciting time. This is a pivotal role, responsible for shaping and implementing the social media strategy, playing a crucial part in driving excellence and best practice across social media channels. Leading a small team of permanent staff and a large network of student content creators, you will be well supported to deliver narrative-driven content and high levels of customer engagement. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to make an impact, leading the way with innovative ideas and new ways to deliver exceptional social media performance on all channels. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop a comprehensive University-wide social media strategy in collaboration with stakeholders, aligned to the University vision and integrating brand, marketing and communication priorities.
- Define and implement the content strategy to engage with diverse audience segments with varying degrees of brand connection.
- Build success metrics and customer-led insights to track performance and inform decision making.
- Lead, mentor and support the social media team to deliver its goals and retain the Universities leadership position across all social media channels.
- Build effective relationships across the University to ensure a consistent customer experience through the successful implementation and buy-in of social media strategy, policies and guidelines.
