A Database Developer is required to join the ODS development and maintenance team in a reputable bank in Saudi Arabia. This position requires providing development capabilities on Oracle Database. This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to details. Due to the dynamic nature of the business, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential. This position would be ideal for somebody with 5+ years of PL/SQL with DBA experience in Oracle environment.This role will work with other functional teams, including the Business and IT to gather and understand the requirements clearly.1. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the adherence to a standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).Gather required changes upon the business or technical changes needed.Develop and maintain ODS Technical Design Documents.Develop or modify PL/SQL packages & stored procedures, forms, reports.Develop or modify loaders, import or export between databases.Maintenance and support all environments.Troubleshoot problems until maintenance works are complete in SLA time.Be on call outside of normal work hours for any emergencies or service interruptions.Work outside of normal hours on any planned major activities that require evening or weekends.The Job holder is obliged to abide by any instructions furnished by his Manager with respect to the scope of work.2. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED+5 years of related experience with +5 years' experience in developing database applications.A proven track record of high performance with a minimum of +5 years of increasing development responsibility.An in-depth understanding and mastery of broad technical areas is required to integrate all system application activities.Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with all stakeholders (business users and IT leadership).2.2 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE PREFERREDOracle OCP Certification.Expert or knowledge on the Banking Businesses.Expert or knowledge on IBM WebSphere products:WebSphere Rational ClearQuest.WebSphere Rational ClearCase.2.3 TECHNICAL SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONSIn-depth knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g+In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL including tuning.In-depth knowledge of Forms and Report creation.Experience with Unix/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting.Import/Export, SQL*Loader.3. WORK ETHICSSharing knowledge.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, with a high level of commitment to responsibility.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Good participation with the teamwork.4. REQUIRED EDUCATIONBA/BS degree in Computer Science or Technologies-related curriculum preferred.
