As an integral part of our training team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of Porter pilots by providing comprehensive simulator and ground school instruction in conjunction with assisting in curriculum development.If you have a passion to succeed, and enjoy the quality of life that comes with airline training, apply to become one of our valued team members today!Duties & ResponsibilitiesSimulator Training: Operating Dash 8-400 Full Motion Flight Simulator and Flight Deck Procedures Trainer to conduct training for Dash 8-400 First Officers and CaptainsGround School: Teaching Dash 8-400 systems, technical, and operational ground school in a classroom or virtual environment for First Officers and CaptainsCurriculum Development: Working independently and with a team of training content developers to create training curriculumActively participates in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understands and promotes the Company's Safety Policy.Behavioural CompetenciesConcern for Safety: Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others.Teamwork: Working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.Passenger/Customer Service: Providing service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers).Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise.Results Focus: Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization's standards.Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus.QualificationsHave, or have held an Airline Transport Pilot License (Transport Canada)Minimum 1,500 hours total timeAirline training experience required500 hours Pilot In Command on Q400 or 1,500 hours Pilot In Command, heavy turboprop in excess of 44,000lbs MGTOWPreference will be given to those with time on type and with 705 operation experienceAviation College or University Degree is an assetPilots that do not meet the minimum requirements may be considered based on experience and other factorsLocationToronto (Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport - YTZ) #LI-Onsite
