Scope of Position:The Business Development Executive is responsible for providing support in prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads & supporting the team to convert them. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound leads, prospect lists and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential. Key Responsibilities Actively support Senior Sales Manager in Client Servicing.To actively call & prospect new clients via e-mail and telephone, generating leads to promote and sell Comic Con India India ShowsFollow up on leads provided by marketing team and support sales team in converting into salesQualify contacts from web registrations, promotions, events and other marketing and sales activities and conduct research to identify appropriate exhibitors within the target marketAccurately record all sales activities in the CRM toolManage the database professionally, accurately and responsibly in order to provide the best possible service to both internal and external customersDevelop strong relationships with exhibitors by understanding and responding to their needs.Report back on market research obtainedMeet and/or exceed any individual sales targetsAny other duties requested by Senior Management.Key Performance Indicators · Establishing & Maintaining databases from leads on the internet, via magazines, competitor trade guides etc.· Entering and updating client information in the CRM· Maintaining a "clean" database through regular checking of client information· Ensure all client notes are accurate and timely· Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects· Contacting lapsed customers and re-establishing them as an existing customer· Utilizing the leads gained in the Prospecting activities to convert these into customers· Taking inbound enquiries and converting these to signed customers· Utilize and be proficient in customer contact, prospecting and booking tools· Increase awareness of the show and the benefits of attending other relevant shows · Maintain and develop new customers to optimize quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction· Communicate, liaise and negotiate in a professional and ethical manner and actively engage in providing customer service to retain clients once a sale is achievedRequired Skills, Competencies and Experience:· Achieving Revenue target.· Developing an ongoing relationship to ensure retention of key sponsors· Building a database of potential new sponsors to ensure a healthy pipeline of prospects· Utilize CRM tools to maintain detailed, accurate and up to date records regarding sales activity undertaken and sales conversations held.· Experience in an exhibition sales role (preferred, not mandatory)· Exposure to a wide range of industries and sales opportunities· Ability to 'cut through' and bypass gatekeepers to reach decision makers· Creative, strategic, innovative 'out of the box' thinking· Outstanding relationship establishment and development skills· Excellent communication skills· Effective time management and organizational skills· Strong research and lead generation skills to source prospects and opportunities· Proactive and driven approach with a strong desire to work to targets· Ability to portray a confident professional manner· Customer focused and with long term relationship building in mind PRB
