The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management, Microsoft Purview, Compliance Manager, Exchange Online, Microsoft Sentinel, SharePoint, and others. You would ideally have knowledge of using MS product suite to achieve compliance in their previous roles. Ideal candidates will have a good understanding and experience of working with an organization that is working towards or achieving NIST certification readiness or certification. The role will involve configuring, managing, and optimizing these services to ensure security and compliance. ROLE DESCRIPTIONSecurity and Compliance:Knowledge of frameworks like NIST 800-171 / NIST 800-53Implementing STIGs where applicableImplement and manage Microsoft 365 security and compliance features, including data loss prevention (DLP), information protection, and threat protection.Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview and Compliance Manager to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, such as NIST 800-171.Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.Create, Implement, and enforce organizational security policies and procedures.Microsoft 365 Administration:Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including user provisioning, licensing, and permissions.Configure and optimize Exchange Online for email security, archiving, and compliance.Implement and manage SharePoint Online for collaboration and document management.Configure and manage Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication.Deploy and manage Microsoft Sentinel for threat detection, investigation, and response.Technical Expertise:Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, including on-premises and cloud-based deployments.Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.Knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST 800-171.Experience working with compliance and STIGs.QUALIFICATION5+ years of experience in security/compliance.SUCCESS METRICSOwn and lead the LPL Compliance design and implementation initiative for the organization (initially for a small subset of users with the scope to scale up in the future)Use all native Microsoft services included in the E5 license to build a secure enclave and email/collaboration platform for employees and contractors to work with sensitive DoD data.Document controls and implementation into clearly articulated documentation/artifacts in readiness for external audits.
