Job title - Senior Associate / Assistant Manager - Indirect TaxLocation - Nextcoworks, BTM Layout, Bannerghatta Road, Ranka Colony Rd, Munivenkatppa Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560076 About ExcelbergExcelberg Consultants LLP, a registered partnership firm, is an independent group of Chartered Accountants, Tax Consultants and Business Advisors engaged in offering financial reporting related services, tax consulting and advisory services and other business support services. The collaborated individuals in this firm carry rich experience in different fields and mostly have spent a significant time in the Big4's. Roles and ResponsibilitiesPreparation of workings for GST compliance monthly / quarterly / annually within timelines as per statute (data preparation and sanitization, filing of returns, etc.)Responding to GST notices / queries / assessments from departmentsProvide GST services to a range of clients working closely with multidisciplinary tax teams.Perform GST reviews and health-check of GST compliances and assessmentsCoordination with the department for obtaining approvals, registrations, submission of documents, addressing audit assessment related queries etc.Helping with audits or investigation by the tax authoritiesVisiting client place for understanding of compliance workings and other document verification, if required.Preparation, filing and processing of refundsPerforming / participating in the research on various critical aspects of GST Laws.Identify new ways of helping to reduce GST incidence and capturing permanent cash flow benefits within the ambit of lawConducting technical study circlesClient responsibilities:Providing advisory services to clients related to their business under GST LawsQualifications Qualified CA or CMA / Post Graduates/ LLBs with 2-3 years Experience in Indirect TaxationStrong time-management and organizational skills,Good interpersonal skills and good acumen of client business are essential.Experience in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment with ability and desire to help shape a new role and flexibly shift and assume responsibilities over time as the role and practice evolve; andExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.).
