About the roleIn this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert pushing technologies to the limits. Work with our cross-technical teams to design and build the next generation applications keeping a mobile first approach where business so demands while adhering to standard coding practices.Key responsibilitiesLead a team of Developers.Architect, design and develop high quality and deploy and maintain highly scalable and optimized mission critical applications with unit test cases, meeting given specifications.Create documentation, sequence diagrams and other low-level design artifacts.Perform code analysis, peer reviews, requirements analysis, software review, system risk analysis and software reliability analysis.Ensure the developed code covers the non-functional requirements including performance, security, auditing and integrity.Resolve production incidents or defects as needed, and proactively identify potential issues before they appear in the production environment; contribute to the root cause analysis.Drive high performance and accountability for own deliverables. Work well within a team and always work for team success by supporting other team members, constructively acting on feedback, and identifying challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.Contribute in defining secure coding standards, and work in a team to follow best practices to ensure compliance with standards, quality, scalability and security of deliverables.Tackle challenges and solve complex problems on a daily basis.Interact with various stakeholders and work with cross-technical teams across the design, coding, testing, production deployment, and third-party product implementation processes.Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.Work on resolving production issues, analyze root cause issues and provide resolution in a timely manner.About youBachelor's Degree or Honors in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics / Sciences or Equivalent with 7+ years of experience with minimum 5 years of job-related experience.Ability to take a mock or concept and turn it into a working experience with pixel perfection.Translates designs into delightful functional user interfaces and experiences ensuring cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and performance in web & mobile.Build modular UI layouts, reusable code and libraries for future use.Optimize the code to maximize page loading speed and scalability.Solid working experience in creating responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, SASS / LESS, Bootstrap etc.Experience in frontend technologies with single page applications.Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript functional programming, jQuery, ES6, Typescript.Experience in Node.js, Angular 10+, Redux, Gulp.js / Grunt.js, and package manager like NPM.Experience working in templating (Handlebars, Mustache etc.).Hands-on knowledge of accessibility standards WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA and the implementation of accessible UI front end.Ability to clearly write front-end specifications and document it and effectively communicate across teams.Strong communication and presentation skills, and adaptability to evolving technology.Good understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.Application GuidelinesEmployees must submit applications through the internal vacancies portal (via GEMS) only.Please see below for all eligibility and requirements for internal applications and please note that any applications not meeting the criteria will not be processed.All internal candidates can only have three active applications at any point in time.All internal candidates must have completed a minimum of 10 months in their current role in order to apply for a new role.All internal candidates with an active final warning letter will be automatically disqualified from the recruitment process.If you are Cabin Crew or Deck Crew (Qatar Airways & Qatar Executive) candidate, you would require NOC to apply for this role.
