Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, addiction, disability, offender rehabilitation, wellbeing and housing services. You will manage tenancies within our Housing service and work in collaboration with our housing navigation teams to achieve the goal of long-term, sustainable housing for whānau. You will carry out property inspections, monitor tenant financial payments, organize maintenance and repair work when required and make sure the properties are up to standard. You will build strong relationships with accommodation providers, our tenants and other team members and peers to achieve the desired results, all while upholding and promoting our company's health & safety, and well-being policies. This is a fixed-term, part-time role (20 hours a week) until June 2025. It is essential that applicants have previous tenancy management experience within New Zealand and basic knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act. We are looking for a forward-thinking person who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident, and compassionate. You must have at least 2 years' tenancy management experience in social housing or property management. If you also bring along the following, we would love to hear from you:
- Experience in managing a portfolio of tenancies in public/community or private sector (preferred)
- A full New Zealand Driver's License
- Experience working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances
- Effective time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience working within the community or homelessness sector is desirable
