Job Overview: As a Child Psychologist specializing in ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and Learning Disabilities (LD), you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions for children experiencing difficulties related to ADHD and LD. Your role is crucial in helping children navigate and overcome challenges that impact their academic, social, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children for ADHD and LD.
- Utilize standardized tests, interviews, observations, and other assessment tools to gather relevant information.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to gather insights into the child's behavior and academic performance.
- Treatment Planning and Intervention:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavioral interventions, and social skills training.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and special education staff, to implement effective interventions at school and home.
- Psychoeducation:
- Educate parents, teachers, and caregivers about ADHD and LD, including strategies for managing symptoms and supporting the child's development.
- Conduct workshops or training sessions to increase awareness and understanding within the community.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current on research, best practices, and advancements in the field of child psychology, ADHD, and LD.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your expertise and skills.
- MS or MPhil in Clinical Psychology (degree should be completed)
- Strong knowledge and expertise to deal with the clients of rehabilitation center.
- Specialized training or experience in working with children, ADHD, and LD.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for ADHD and LD.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
