Our client, a global leader in Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) services, is seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead their global operations. As the COO, you will be at the forefront of shaping the company’s operational strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and driving performance improvements across a global network of offices. Your role will be critical in ensuring operational efficiency, overseeing HR functions, and enhancing customer satisfaction through seamless sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Lead and optimize global operations to enhance service delivery and reduce costs, ensuring top-tier performance across all functions.
- Sales Operations: Oversee and streamline the execution of sales processes, ensuring a consistent and high level of customer satisfaction.
- HR Leadership: Act as the head of HR, responsible for talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and the formulation of HR policies across global offices.
- Administrative Efficiency: Ensure that all administrative functions are efficient and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee global compliance with maritime laws, labor regulations, and mitigate operational risks.
- Financial Oversight: Work closely with the CFO to implement cost-saving initiatives, manage budgets, and improve profitability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Business Turnover: Must be currently managing an annual business turnover of US$ 150million+
- Experience: 15+ years of senior leadership experience in maritime transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics, with a minimum of 5 years as a COO.
- Academics: Preferably MBA in supply chain from IBA-Karachi or LUMS.
- Leadership: Proven success in leading cross-functional teams in operations, HR, and sales on a global scale.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in logistics management systems and HR technology.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to align operational, HR, and financial strategies with long-term business goals.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated success in ensuring smooth sales execution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Integrity & Resilience: High ethical standards, strong moral compass, and a growth mindset to navigate challenges effectively.
