Responsible for overseeing and optimizing our procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the industry's unique needs and challenges.Cultivate and manage strong relationships with industry-specific suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, with a focus on maintaining consistent operations despite disruptions.Ensure all procured materials and services meet industry-specific quality and safety standards and regulatory compliance.Monitor and optimize procurement costs without compromising quality or safety standards.Collaborate with technical experts to understand and meet the specialized requirements of equipment and materials used in the industry.Oversee inventory, particularly for critical spare parts, ensuring efficient management to support operations and maintenance.Coordinate with logistics and transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries, especially to remote sites.Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements, and ensure full compliance.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Certification in procurement or supply chain management (CSCP, CPM) is an added advantage.At least 6 years of related experience.Relevant experience in procurement, including supplier management.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Knowledge of procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.Ability to work well in a team and lead cross-functional collaborations.Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
