STOCK ACCOUNTANTMackenzie Jones - Abu Dhabi, UAEPosted In: 19/12/2013Job DescriptionMy client, a large manufacturing business, is looking to appoint a Stock Accountant in a newly created role.Key responsibilities will include:Assist in establishing and implementing inventory policies and procedures.Perform weekly and monthly physical stock checks at all the plants and highlight variances to the management.Perform weekly and monthly physical assets and tools counts at all the plants and highlight variances to the management.Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc inventory levels and consumption reports to all the relevant departments.Maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels at warehouse/inventory locations based on goods shipped.Report shortfalls and surplus inventory weekly and monthly for replenishment.Coordinate with the production and supply chain teams to ensure that records relating to inventory in the MRP are properly maintained.Coordinate with accounting to ensure that all product costs are properly taken in the cost of sales and inventory costs.Communicate with all department managers and purchasing on inventory levels and locations.Ensure that goods received by warehouse are matched with the actual invoices from the suppliers in the MRP system.Ensure that finished goods shipped to the customers are matched with the actual invoices issued to the customers in the MRP system.Coordinate with production to ensure that work orders are closed the moment goods are shipped.Coordinate with warehouse team to implement and ensure control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence.Review obsolete/redundant inventory to facilitate their removal from the warehouse.Assist Financial Controller in ad-hoc relevant projects.Assist other functional units within the Finance team.Job RequirementsExperience: AnyCareer Level: JuniorJob Type: Full TimeVacancies: 2 Open PositionsSalary: NegotiableGender: AnyDegree Level: Bachelor's degreeMajor: AccountingLanguages: English - Fluent / ExcellentJob Skills:Preferably possessing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and/or suitable background experience in inventory management in manufacturing.Operationally oriented and comfortable working in a production plant environment.Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control systems with a working knowledge of manufacturing processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Mature, self-motivated, proactive, willing to learn and able to work under pressure.About The CompanyMackenzie Jones Middle East has decades of HR, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Sales, Secretarial & Business Support, Management Consulting and Engineering recruitment expertise.
