Reimbursement Analyst

Prepare schedules annually used by a consultant to prepare the cost report; ensure data is properly maintained throughout the year. Calculate the amount due to or from Medicare on a monthly basis. Coordinate the Medicare and other State or Federal agency cost report audits, providing supporting documentation, reviewing audit adjustments, and responding to audit findings in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinate and understand the technical positions/arguments communicated to Medicare and other State or Federal agencies' auditors to support positions taken on the organization cost report, or other required reporting. Update, review, and maintain supporting documentation for the Medicare settlements according to standardized policies and procedures to properly reflect the financial reporting of third-party balances.
