If the answer is YES, the Canberra office of ACIL Allen is looking for a dynamic consultant like yourself to join our growing team. About the role As a senior consultant in the Canberra Office , you will work across all aspects of its economic and public policy advisory portfolio:
- development of methodologies and proposals
- gathering and analysing information
- client liaison and management
- research, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
- economic impact assessments of large publicly funded research programs
- impact assessments of proposed regulations
- evaluations of grant programs
- strategic assessments of public infrastructure
- cost-benefit analyses of government initiatives.
- be able to work with or model economic, financial or other data and develop insights through your own analysis and unique perspectives.
- have the capability to communicate the insights persuasively through our reporting tools and in meetings and conversations with current and prospective clients.
- work both independently and as part of a team to shape the advice we provide.
- have a well-rounded skillset that allows you to work across all facets of an advisory practice.
- have experience in economics, regulation or public policy advice in a consulting or advisory environment, which is strongly desired, given our current and prospective book of work.
- be willing to work collaboratively and in an ethical manner.
- 3+ years’ experience in economics and/or public policy in a consulting, government-funded service, or advisory environment.
- Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, or Economics), or public policy or public administration.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, with expertise in other analytical toolkits desirable.
