Refugee 613 is looking for a dynamic and thoughtful organizer to lead the implementation of the new Collective Impact Initiative for Refugee Claimants (CIIRC).Position SummaryRefugee 613 is the secretariat organization for the Collective Impact Initiative for Refugee Claimants (CIIRC), a multi-year project with funding from the Anar Fund (via the Ottawa Community Foundation), dedicated to bringing about significant improvements in the way refugee claimants access services in Ottawa. Working closely with the Refugee 613 Director and members of CIIRC, the Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the activities of this new stakeholder collective, beginning with implementing the governance model and related processes as well as advancing the priority areas. Their duties will include project management, stakeholder relations, monitoring and evaluation, and recruitment and supervision of a small team.Main Responsibilities:Embed equity and inclusion principles in all activities.Lead the development of a project implementation plan based on the strategy of change and governance model.Collaborate with external consultants to develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan that reflects the key priorities.Coordinate partners, colleagues and consultants to develop comprehensive internal and external communications plans for CIIRC.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to build partnerships and champion multi-sector collaboration.Oversee timely implementation of contracts and related services.Serve as liaison to funders and key partners where appropriate.Determine staffing needs to achieve program goals and objectives and participate in recruitment processes for new program employees.Represent CIIRC and/or Refugee 613 on relevant committees and task forces, as well as at speaking engagements, conference panels and training.Work closely with the Director to maintain, adapt, and implement priorities related to the collective work, including strategic and operational planning.Work closely with OCISO, Refugee 613's fiscal sponsor, to ensure excellent relationships with their staff and effective implementation of OCISO policies and processesQualifications:A minimum of two years experience managing projects in a non-profit environment, including responsibility for finances and governance.Knowledge of human services, with experience in immigrant services an asset.Experience managing a multi-stakeholder project, with familiarity with the formal Collective Impact approach considered an asset.Strong working knowledge of best practices in project budgeting and administration.Lived experience as a refugee claimant or newcomer to Canada is considered a strong asset.Demonstrated ability to ensure equity and inclusion are priorities in project activities and deliverables.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent the organization externally across a wide range of stakeholders and constituencies.Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to find common ground, build consensus and strengthen collaboration among diverse stakeholders.Passion for Refugee 613's mission, vision and values and an ability to communicate this passion to others.Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory. French or a second language an asset.Experience in developing project plans and working with planning software such as Asana.Salary & Benefits: $63,700 to $64,974 annually.
