DevOps Engineer
تفاصيل الوظيفة
Your role as a DevOps Engineer Frontend means being the star player in:
Work on state-of-the-art technologies. We build our applications with the latest Angular versions in combination with NgRx state management. Server-side we use NodeJS or our headless Sitecore CMS and host this on AWS.
Take ownership and feel responsible for our applications serving more than 2 million energy customers that buy our electricity and gas products but also our Energy+ products and services such as Solar Panels, Heating, Isolation, and Energy advice.
Feel the urge to keep our applications up-to-date and continuously improve the system with a strong focus on automation in our GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
Work closely with your colleagues in an Agile DevOps team according to our SAFe way of working. We prefer to develop the integration layer in our IT landscape in Typescript on serverless technologies, which means that full-stack development within the team is also possible.
We are currently mainly working on features for two applications:
Sitecore: We are working on a new digital platform with which we provide all our customers with a digital "my" environment. About 17,000 customers log in every day to arrange all their energy matters with this platform.
Cockpit: The application that our call center agents and back office employees work with. Every day, 400 colleagues use the software that we develop together to provide our customers with the best possible service and help as quickly as possible.
You embrace the DevOps mentality by giving and taking ownership, and the will to constantly improve. You are always looking for ways to make development life cycles better, simpler, and more reliable. You have a "you-built-it-you-own-it" mindset. You revel in continuous improvement and are eager to develop your skills. You adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies.
In this role, you will specifically work for the Essent brand. Essent is our full-service brand for consumers, SMEs, and large businesses. At Essent, we not only know a lot about energy but also about customers. We want to help consumers and companies in an accessible way, step-by-step, to make their home or business more sustainable. With the aim of saving energy. We do this together with our installers in the country. Not by making plans for the distant future; we know what is going on with customers today, and we really do something with it. Essent helps you today with all your energy solutions. Big or small. For a carefree feeling - now and in the future.
You are Essent
Working together as one team to win our customers' loyalty. It gives you an energy boost like no other. We can only grow by being enterprising, asking critical questions, and always wanting to do better. This applies to you as a member of the Essent team and us as a company. Whether you prefer to work behind the scenes or in the spotlight. It doesn't matter. Will you make an impact for yourself, the team, and our customers? Then you tick all the boxes if you also have:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Informatics, Business Informatics, or equivalent fields.
3+ years of analysis and programming experience, preferably in a commercial organization.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions with the end consumer in mind.
Experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and/or operating applications/systems using proven or emerging technologies, in a variety of technologies and environments.
Non-Dutch citizens are also welcome to apply. It is desirable that you speak Dutch and requires that you have an EU work permit.
Experience with Cloud technologies and have an affinity with full-stack development.
Strong expertise in software development, which means you are an expert in Javascript, have good practice with modern web application frameworks like React, Vue, or preferably Angular, and know how to write semantic and accessible HTML.
Last but not least, you understand the basics of content management, preferably within Sitecore, and are experienced in developing and maintaining a CI/CD Pipeline (Git, Octopus).
You're in top form. A real member of the Essent team in heart and soul, who works shoulder to shoulder for a single goal. You also have demonstrated ability to interact, develop, engineer, and communicate collaboratively and effectively at technical levels with clients, vendors, partners, and all levels of Essent Staff.
We offer you
You believe in yourself, the team, and the company. And us? We reward you for all your hard work: with money, opportunities, and personal growth. Because you always deliver the best for our customers, we offer you (based on 40 hours a week):
A job at a leading European energy company that's always on the move. We keep growing, developing, and innovating.
A gross monthly salary between €4,796 and €7,873, precisely tailored to your level.
A bonus opportunity of 10% to show our appreciation even more.
30 days of annual leave because you have hobbies outside work.
All the facilities you need to work flexibly in the office, at home, and on the road.
The opportunity to work with our House-in-Order Lean method.
The opportunity to work within a true hybrid model. You decide where you work, every day.
We recommend that you travel by public transport. And there's a great extra if you do: we'll give you an NS Business Card. Would you prefer to travel by car? Then you'll receive a kilometer allowance.
A wide range of development and promotion opportunities nationally and internationally.
This is the ideal opportunity to make an impact as a DevOps Engineer Frontend.
