Senior Mechanic Heavy Duty Diesel & Petrol Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:
- Apply acquired skills to maintain and upkeep mobile equipment.
- Perform routine tasks and address breakdowns as required.
- Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others.
- Troubleshoot mobile equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping standards set by the company.
- Attend to duties with diligence and enthusiasm to achieve department targets.
- Report to the Foreman regarding any job difficulties.
- Overhaul hydraulic systems, control valves, and transmissions.
- Regularly check equipment.
- Identify and change spares from store as authorized.
- Attend preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance as per departmental PM plan.
- Observe equipment in the maintenance area and report issues, taking corrective actions in communication with superiors.
- Experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing all types of heavy mobile equipment, mainly engines and transmission systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of heavy mobile equipment servicing and maintenance.
