Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager - Data Governance

Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants is looking for the position ofSenior Consultant/Assistant Manager Data Governancefor its Karachi office. The candidate will be responsible for:

Conducting current state assessment and Data Maturity Assessment to determine data strategy, governance framework, and target operating model for data organization.

Participating in data management policy (Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Sharing, etc.) and process creation, and analyzing potential impacts of Policies & Processes to the organization.

Supporting the development and maintenance of an end-to-end data lifecycle management approach by applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies, and standards.

Assisting with data architecture reviews and advising on data solutions that pertain to Data Governance programs (Data Catalogue, Data Quality, Business Glossary, data tools/software, metadata management, master data management, Lineage, etc.).

Conducting workshops to understand database structure/data lineage analysis in order to understand relevant data elements along with their definitions and use.

Designing/performing data profiling and supporting monitoring data quality processes, identifying data quality issue patterns, applying remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and managing data quality remediation strategies.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements (Data Governance):

Familiarity with data management trends and standards (like DMBOK), including data management principles and methodologies.

Understanding of Information Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Storage, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management technology landscape, processes, and design principles.

Operational familiarity with leading commercial vendors or tools/platforms that relate to data quality, governance, catalogs, metadata management, reference & master data management.

Proven track record in operating large data governance programs and experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization.

Experience in developing and operationalizing data-based guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards. Certifications related to Data Governance, Applicable Vendor or Industry certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualification:

A Bachelor's degree in any data management analysis, computer science, computer engineering, statistics, or other IT-related field.

Experience:

04 to 07 years of relevant experience.
