A Restaurant Manager (Social) with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is responsible for managing the restaurant to deliver an excellent Guest experience. What will I be doing? As a Restaurant Manager (Social), you are responsible for managing restaurant operations to deliver an excellent guest experience. A Restaurant Manager would also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Manage Restaurant operations with a deep understanding of fine dining service standards.
  2. Maintain exceptional levels of guest service.
  3. Recruit, manage, train and develop the Restaurant team.
  4. Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food and Payroll.
  6. Drive sales to maximize budgeted revenue.
  7. Develop menus with other members of F&B team.
  8. Accountable for monthly stock takes.
  9. Incentivize team members to maximize sales and revenue.
  10. Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures.
  11. Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement.
  12. Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated.
  13. Be environmentally aware.
  14. Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
  15. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
What are we looking for? A Restaurant Manager (Social) serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
  1. Strong experience in managing fine dining restaurant and with strong background in Italian cuisine.
  2. Michelin Star restaurant experience.
  3. F&B Management experience in a luxury environment.
  4. Able to meet financial targets.
  5. Ability to comply with all F&B brand standards.
  6. Ability to work under pressure.
  7. Excellent grooming standards.
  8. Willingness to develop team members and self.
  9. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  1. Michelin Star Restaurant experience is a must.
  2. Degree in relevant area.
  3. Fine dining experience.
  4. Luxury hospitality experience in a similar role.
  5. Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
  6. Excellent English and any other language would be an advantage.
