Electrical Design Engineer

Leading design consultancy based in South Dublin City has an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their award-winning team. The role involves assisting in the delivery of projects, with effective resourcing of assisting engineers, maintaining technical quality, professionalism, completing all design activities to project milestones / programme. Main role responsibilities for the role will include: Full technical responsibility for Electrical Building Services output on projects. Lead & manage multiple technical design packages. Manage designer performance and making appropriate technical management responses. Provide management, motivation & leadership for other members of the Building Services team. Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the projects technical planning process. Provide support the Leadership Team with mentoring and staff training of engineer. Key client management The successful individual will have the following: Degree level in electrical engineering or relevant construction discipline Ideally be Chartered or working towards same. Experience across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Healthcare, Education and Commercial. Gained relevant practical experience in a similar role. Demonstrable knowledge & experience of electrical design, particularly in relation of Part L, CIBSE codes, Wiring Regulations and Technical Guidance Understanding of design software packages, Amtect, Relux, Dialux, AutoCAD and REVIT/BIM would be advantageous. Requirement also to produce detail design packages of all electrical engineering systems, including but not limited to: Lighting Systems and Controls MV/LV distribution system Fire, Security & Life Safety Engineering Systems ICT & Building Management Systems Excellent salary and package on off with career enhancement opportunities available within the expanding management team.
