Responsibilities: Overall delivery management responsibility for all the software services delivery engagements (i.e. multiple projects and service offerings) with large cross-functional, globally distributed team (typically 100-150 people). Responsible for the account realizing outcomes across delivery (quality and predictability), commercials (profitability/ gross margin), compliance (contractual, process and engineering) and engagement (customer satisfaction and people engagement). Global experience in delivering technology-enabled business critical solutions for the financial services industry (preferably commercial banking or capital markets) will be highly preferred Co-owns account strategies and plans along with the account manager and the realization of identified account level goals and objectives. Establishes and implements effective program management and delivery governance framework for the account with the support of the delivery excellence teams and practices. Responsible for setting up new delivery teams or projects for the customer in collaboration relevant stakeholder groups across IRIS and the client organization. Manages senior stakeholder expectations with clear and timely communication and reporting, both internally (i.e. IRIS) and externally (customer organization and partners, if any). Ensures delivery health through periodic reviews and by extending proactive support and intervention to project managers/ leads. People management responsibilities for senior leads in the account; owns senior talent development and succession planning for the account. Drives business growth by farming for new opportunities and supporting sales in pursuits by drafting proposals, facilitating workshops and mindshare sessions with clients and partners. Manages escalations and supports senior leads in managing critical risks and issues in projects. Participates in senior hiring and managing the timely fulfillment of all open staffing/ people needs for the account working with the workforce management and talent acquisition teams. Trusted delivery partner for the customers who proactively engages with customers to enhance business value delivered through IRIS’ services and solutions. Change agent who drives continuous improvement journeys for delivery excellence, new capability development, cost savings/ gross margin improvement, efficient operations and improved customer satisfaction at the account and (or) the organization level. Provides thought leadership in one or more areas across delivery, methodology, technology or business domain. Skills and Experience: 17-19 years of experience in the IT industry in delivery roles; 5+ years of experience in program or portfolio management with large, geographically distributed teams. 8+ years of experience coupled with strong business domain knowledge in BFSI domain, with an IT consulting/ services firm. Experience of setting up delivery teams or an account and ramping it up to 100+ people. Project or Program management experience across the full SDLC lifecycle involving different methodologies like agile, iterative, waterfall and hybrid. Prior experience of managing delivery engagements with quality frameworks such as CMMI. Experience across service offerings (e.g. application development, maintenance, re-engineering, migration, etc.), different pricing models (fixed price, fixed capacity, time and material, etc.) and engagement models (partner/ vendor managed, co-managed and client managed). Prior experience in managing senior and demanding stakeholders (Director/ VP or higher) across business, technology and operations with customers based in US or UK. Must be consultative and solutions’ oriented; prior experience of structuring or defining solutions oriented delivery engagements and troubleshooting critical delivery issues. Experience of managing high priority/ high severity production issues. Strong commercial acumen with high proficiency in effort/ cost estimation. Strong knowledge of project financials and IT services contracts. “Hands on” delivery leadership experience on complex/ high risk projects. Experience of driving pre-sales effort as the bid manager (i.e. large proposals and sales pitches) and mining accounts/ farming for opportunities in existing customer businesses. Strong outcomes focused leadership skills with strong people focus. Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement journeys across delivery excellence and margin improvement. Prior experience of managing senior managers in a matrix organization. Very strong business communication, negotiation and conflict management skills.
