Waste Collection Operator - Afternoon Shift
Citywide is recruiting for a Waste Collection Operator (Afternoon Shift) to work within our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne’s CBD. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection of general waste and recycling from within the high-profile parks and gardens of the CBD.
Shrine of Remembrance DepotAfternoon Shift 11am to 7pmWeekends and Public Holidays – 2 days off during the week
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Waste and recycling collection from parks, gardens and depot binsCollection of general waste and recycling as separated and dedicated runsWiping down binsRemoval of loose litter inside the bin surroundTransporting and disposing of waste at approved facilitiesDaily vehicle checks as per log book requirementsWash vehicles on a daily basisMaintain good relationships with the client and all stakeholdersEnsure the safety of self, others and the general publicFlexibility to work from 3am to 11am to cover leave and for training purposes
Skills and experience required:Current Victorian Medium Rigid Drivers LicencePrevious experience in a similar roleKnowledge of safe work practicesExperience interacting with customersProblem solving skillsTime management skillsWorking With Children Check
