Chief Accountant – iGaming Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience Location : Sao Paulo, Brazil Company : Leading B2B Software Provider in the iGaming Sector Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take on a pivotal role with a global iGaming software leader? We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Sao Paulo team and drive excellence in financial operations, compliance, and reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting, bookkeeping, and invoicing for our local entity.
- Implement and oversee Accounts Payable processes, ensuring seamless monthly closings with accurate calculations and postings.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and handle group reporting through the Cognos consolidation tool.
- Maintain compliance with local legislation, IFRS standards, and best practices for daily accounting.
- Assist in audits, preparing essential documents, and managing auditor queries.
- Oversee fixed asset and low-value stock accounting, register updates, and purchase documentation.
- Maintain vendor reconciliations, review and authorize payment proposals, and submit payment requests to the bank.
- Collaborate with payroll accountants, manage payroll, and approve all outgoing payments (payroll, invoices, taxes).
- Handle cash flow management, including monthly cash flow forecasts and resource planning for timely invoice payments.
- ERP - Microsoft Narvision experience preferable.
- Experience : 5+ years as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant, preferably in an international company.
- Education : Professional accounting certification.
- Technical Skills : Deep understanding of local tax and accounting legislation, IFRS standards, and complex finance systems. Experience with MS Navision / Business Central is a plus, especially with implementation projects.
- Language : Fluent in both Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
- Other Skills : Strong analytical skills, multi-tasking abilities, adaptability, advanced Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
