The UI Programmer will help design and implement new menus & huds while building a solid and performant UI toolkit for the UI/UX artists. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, their work will enable the highest quality UI/UX experience for our players.ReportingThe UI Programmer will report to the Technical Program Manager.Responsibilities and DutiesDevelop, implement, and maintain a UI toolkit used by UI/UX artistsDevelop, implement, and maintain various menus and huds (2D & 3D)Development optimized UI software solutions tailored to the UI engineDocument UI systems and define UI standard methodologiesQualifications5+ years professional software development skills3+ years experience as a UI programmerExcellent C++ coding and debugging skills with experience in code optimizationFamiliar with UI/UX conceptsInterest in working on various UI related tasks, including UI engine tasksAbility to function effectively in a team environment, while prioritizing your own workloadBS in Computer Science or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience developing with Unreal EngineExperience working in another UI middlewareUI development experience on console (PlayStation) and PC developmentEducation background in software ergonomicsEqual Opportunity Statement:Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
