Automation Test Engineer

Individually these are just words, but together they are our Values - Care, Commitment, Community, and Confidence.What you'll do:Designing and executing against the project Test Strategy.Responsible for providing status updates/escalations and reporting via metrics to project team.Responsible to review user stories, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback from a Quality Assurance Perspective.Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases and reviewing the same for the project delivery test team.Design, develop and execute Automation scripts.Experience in Automation Framework, Enhancement of existing framework.Create Test case, Test data and Test execution.Responsible for detailed regression testing and ensure test artifacts are current.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers, business analysts, scrum masters, product owners) and provide perspective from a Testing focus.Ensure that all the deliverables are met.Ability to meet challenging deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.A team player and able to be a positive influence to a team.What you'll bring:Technical experience in test automation and in design and development of automation frameworks covering different technology and application platforms.Deep understanding & experience of automation development tool sets (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI/JSON).Experience in implementing test automation development efforts in an Agile SCRUM development environment.Good technical writing skills and ability to describe clearly complex processes and tasks.Clear verbal & written communication skills in English.Great attitude and work ethics.Must Have:Experience in working with Selenium - Java/Python.Experience in working with API Testing.Knowledge in Java/programming.Knowledge working with CI/CD Pipeline, First time Automation, Digital Test Automation.Guidewire Application Experience an asset.Insurance Domain Knowledge an asset.What you'll get:Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year.Employee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusion.Corporate wellness programs to support our employees' physical and mental health.Hybrid flexible work model.Aviva Canada has an accommodation process in place to provide accommodations for employees with disabilities.
