Environmental Director Optimize Recruitment is hiring an Environmental Director on behalf of an established, multi-disciplinary consultancy that specializes in environmental consulting, sustainability, and engineering. With offices located across Ireland, this firm serves a diverse range of clients, including local authorities, the renewable energy sector, and the construction industry. Their skilled team of engineers and environmental scientists delivers high-quality, clear, and comprehensive technical guidance to help clients navigate complex industry challenges. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in team management and project delivery, along with a strong understanding of the Renewable Energy and/or Food & Drink sectors. You will offer strategic direction and leadership to drive the growth and success of a dedicated environmental team. The successful candidate will have: 8+ years of relevant experience, with preference for those with expertise in the Irish environmental consultancy sector. A bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science or a related field. Demonstrated capability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects at the same time. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail and a high level of motivation. Self-driven with a solution-oriented approach. Knowledge of internal management systems, with experience in implementing new software being an advantage. A full, clean driving license.
