Senior Purchasing Executive
Salary: RM4,500 - 5,100 monthly Syarikat: Private Advertiser Jenis Pekerjaan: Sepenuh Masa Lokasi: Balakong, SelangorPenerangan Pekerjaan
1. Product Development:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product development initiatives with international suppliers and manufacturers.
- Collaborate with the product development team to gather and analyze customer feedback and market data to inform new product designs and improvements.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers to streamline product samples, prototypes, and final production.
- Update other sales channel managers on new product development progress.
- Support the launch of new products by working with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability and timely delivery.
2. Purchasing & Operations:
- Responsible for day-to-day purchasing and sourcing activities for materials, services, equipment, machinery, and fixed assets to generate cost savings for both local and overseas suppliers.
- Review daily order movements and negotiate with vendors to meet company requirements.
- Request quotations from suppliers, compare prices, and compile price comparison worksheets to inform purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and process all purchase orders (PO) according to specified requirements and standards.
- Oversee the entire purchasing process, including PO management, delivery follow-up, shipping document updates, and related tasks.
- Regularly monitor stock inventory levels and identify purchasing needs to ensure timely replenishment of both international and domestic orders.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with existing suppliers for cost reduction and quality control, and perform regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts, ensuring that no Purchase Order (PO) is missed.
- Coordinate with forwarding agents regarding shipment status and schedules, and liaise with warehouse staff to ensure that all products arrive in good condition.
- Support cost-saving initiatives by comparing and negotiating for better material quality at the lowest cost.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by Management as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to analyze data and manage reports.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in market research, supplier evaluation, and product development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with international suppliers or manufacturers is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is required for liaising with Chinese suppliers; proficiency in Korean is an added advantage.
