Roles and Responsibilities Must have worked in STAAD Pro / Foundation Suite software in Analysis & Design. Must have Design of Machine Foundations (Compressor and Pumps), Design and Development of Site Grading Works, Geotechnical Investigation Works, and Reinforced Concrete Building Design Works experience. Hands-on experience on model review in SP3D / E3D / PDS / PDMS platform. Experience in preparation of the Design calculation through XL spreadsheet. Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract. Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance. Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Maintain the required technical quality of work. Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process. Maintain planning and cost control on all scopes. Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures. Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required. Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule. Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope. Review, prepare, check and/or approve work output of discipline assigned personnel. Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review. Maintain good communication with the client. Maintain discipline filing system. Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project. Qualifications Minimum B.Sc. Engineering in civil / structural. Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience. Minimum 15+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry. Minimum 5-8 years' experience in a similar role. Desired Candidate Profile Design Proficiency: Strong ability to design civil engineering projects using software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and principles of structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering. Project Management: Skills in planning, executing, and closing projects, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and standards relevant to civil engineering. Technical Analysis: Ability to conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to support design decisions and project planning. Leadership and Mentoring: Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative work environment. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve engineering challenges efficiently. Risk Management: Understanding of risk assessment processes and the ability to develop mitigation strategies for potential issues. Site Management: Experience overseeing construction activities and ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and environmental specialists. Areas of Expertise Structural Engineering: Expertise in designing and analyzing structures to ensure safety and stability. Transportation Engineering: Knowledge of road and highway design, traffic flow analysis, and transportation planning. Water Resources Engineering: Understanding of hydrology, drainage design, and water management systems. Environmental Engineering: Familiarity with environmental regulations and practices related to construction and land use. Sustainability Practices: Incorporating sustainable design principles and materials into civil engineering projects.
