Operation Development ManagerDate: 9 Oct 2024OperationsThe purpose of this role is to manage the manpower, equipment, and facilities planning for the operation in order to achieve maximum productivity and reduce manpower cost through proper planning and optimum utilization of labour. This role also provides all required administration support related to the stakeholder requirements.Job ResponsibilitiesSets pragmatic operational parameters in relation to resource management, using available technologies and real-time studies on the ground.Ensures that all HR and Compliance regulations are followed when setting up the resource scheduling parameters.Plans the resources required according to the operational schedules.Evaluates existing operational SOPs and recommends changes where beneficial.Sets up productivity matrices across the organization and ensures monitoring systems are in place.Advises and sets up resource scheduling and real-time task assignments.Sets up teams in departments that perform planning, scheduling, and real-time task allocation of resources utilizing the best available technologies.Provides guidance on the acquisition of new technology-based solutions that increase productivity.Performs audits on SOPs related to the productivity of resources.Produces meaningful reports based on actual data for management review.Using data analysis, identifies trends and recommends remedial action to safeguard operations and revenue while controlling costs.Note: The role defined here is not exhaustive, and duties and responsibilities in line with the job function may be added from time to time.QualificationsA bachelor's degree or diploma in a closely related field.ExperienceResource planning within the aviation industry is an advantage.Time and motion knowledge and experience is an advantage.In-depth knowledge of all Health and Safety, Security, and Industrial Relations statutory requirements.At least 3 years of supervisory operations experience monitoring operational activities in the aviation industry.Strong ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.Excellent knowledge of principles and practices governing the operation of airports.Familiarity with current developments and trends in the field of airport operations and management.Proven supervisory methods and techniques in managing airport operations.
