EHS Specialist

PE Global is currently recruiting for a EHS Specialist for a leading multi-national Biotech client based in Cork. This is an initial 12-month contract position to provide EH&S project support for projects at the site. Acts as an SME and advisor to all project teams on site in relation to EHS legislation and EH&S Standards ROLE: Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and site standards are incorporated Implement company EH&S by Design & OneCSS as required for projects Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, 3D model reviews, JSAs, noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments, FATs / SATs, and walkdowns as required Support IA action closure & tracking Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with PTW requirements, IED license, SOPs & regulatory requirements. Collating and reporting of relevant metrics / KPIs Lead / participate in incident / accident investigations & root cause analyses (RCA) PTW Improvements work with other functions to drive improvements in the site PTW process REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards, preferably within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment is required. A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years experience in the environment, health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position. Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety Creates dashboards, power-point presentations and can track and trend KPIs, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
