PE Global is currently recruiting for a EHS Specialist for a leading multi-national Biotech client based in Cork. This is an initial 12-month contract position to provide EH&S project support for projects at the site. Acts as an SME and advisor to all project teams on site in relation to EHS legislation and EH&S Standards ROLE: Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and site standards are incorporated Implement company EH&S by Design & OneCSS as required for projects Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, 3D model reviews, JSAs, noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments, FATs / SATs, and walkdowns as required Support IA action closure & tracking Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with PTW requirements, IED license, SOPs & regulatory requirements. Collating and reporting of relevant metrics / KPIs Lead / participate in incident / accident investigations & root cause analyses (RCA) PTW Improvements work with other functions to drive improvements in the site PTW process REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards, preferably within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment is required. A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years experience in the environment, health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position. Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety Creates dashboards, power-point presentations and can track and trend KPIs, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders. Machine safety experience would be a distinct advantage Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills A flexible approach, good priority setting skills and ability to deal with multiple tasks Interested candidates should submit an updated CV.
