About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our expanding Gunnedah branch in the position of Workshop Supervisor. Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and supervising the service workshop operations to meet customer requirements, whilst completing projects within budget to the highest level of safety. As a key member of the team, your duties will be to:

  1. Ensure HCA employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and promote a safety-first culture
  2. Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of labour and equipment
  3. Lead and motivate a team of workshop tradesmen to work within OEM specifications and guidelines
  4. Effective and efficient resource and labour utilisation to ensure compliance with customer delivery expectations
  5. Assist in the coordination of labour, parts, and resource availability to achieve timely machine shutdown repairs
  6. Apply six sigma philosophy to provide continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility
About You To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  1. Similar supervisory experience with strong leadership skills and the ability to guide your team to work cohesively
  2. Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles
  3. Experience in the maintenance of earthmoving equipment (Hitachi equipment would be an advantage)
  4. Excellent time management with the ability to effectively manage multiple work fronts
  5. The ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement and drive change
  6. Intermediate level of computer literacy, particularly working with MS Office
