Senior Project Officer - Commissioning, Research & Knowledge Translation We are looking for a talented and dedicated Senior Project Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying key priorities and developing a strategic research agenda. You will oversee the commissioning process for research projects and knowledge translation activities, ensuring they align with our strategic goals. Additionally, you will provide crucial support to project leads, project teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all commissioned activities comply with funding contract requirements and meet the agreed outputs and outcomes. Working closely with the Executive Manager Research and Knowledge Translation, the Senior Project Officer will engage with teams across the organisation on cross-team initiatives and consultancies within the research governance structure, while promoting and ensuring a culturally safe environment. If you have a strong background in research management, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to achieving impactful results, we encourage you to apply. About you You will have a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, including social and cultural determinants, backed by over four years of experience in project management, knowledge translation and workforce development, or related roles within Aboriginal community controlled organisations, government or NGOs. Your strong organisational and project management skills enable you to excel, consistently meeting tight deadlines and delivering results. You will have experience administering Smarty Grants or similar grant management systems. You have a talent for building and maintaining relationships, coupled with exceptional communication and networking skills that allow you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. You are a highly motivated creative thinker, adept at anticipating challenges and finding solutions that lead to successful outcomes. Your ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is a key strength, and you actively contribute to a culturally safe environment. You hold relevant qualifications or are progressing towards them, and you're prepared for interstate travel and work outside regular hours as needed. Additionally, you have a Working with Children and Vulnerable Peoples Check, demonstrating your commitment to safety and wellbeing in all aspects of your work.
