Procurement Manager , Upington – Northern Cape – in the fruit Industry – Zeminwe Recruitment The Procurement Manager will be responsible for implementing procurement plans, managing supply and demand forecasts, and handling customer orders according to the company’s capabilities. The successful candidate should have a tertiary qualification in the supply chain or related field, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement procurement plans for supply and demand forecasts and customer orders.
- Manage daily orders, shipment plans, and sales order plans.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure effective communication with producers.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality assurance, and logistics to gather information and align on requirements.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Visit producers daily.
- Work independently and act proactively.
- Be flexible and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain or related field.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage procurement activities, documentation, and inventory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Work independently and act proactively.
- Flexible and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
