Business Director, Communications Consultancy

  1. Responsible for both building client relationships and monitoring a team, while collaborating with senior leadership (Business Lead / CEO), various departments of the agency (creative, strategy, production), and other potential partners from Publicis Group (media, Vertical, epsilon, sapient).
  2. Lead the strategic, operational, and delivery aspects of the account and own relationships with the client(s).
  3. Work closely with the Business Lead of your account(s) to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and revenue growth across your assigned clients’ portfolio.
  4. Take responsibility and accountability for the growth of your client's business within the assigned clients’ portfolio.
  5. Identify and develop opportunities to drive new business proposals involving group capabilities.
  6. Foster the agency’s beliefs and spirit externally and internally, as well as develop and drive vision for the business, aiming to bring in more business and drive the Power of One development and implementation.
  7. Inspire, mentor, and guide the career development of your team members.
Technical & Product
  1. Lead client conversations and work closely with Business Lead(s) to ensure excellence in strategy, creative, and production.
  2. Oversee strategy, planning, creative execution, and production for all assigned client accounts: Responsible for winning client commitment to the agency and Group’s direction, strategy, recommendations, and subsequent execution, translating business needs to creative challenges and ensuring timely delivery milestones.
  3. Be perceived as a trusted advisor by your clients and as an expert in a specific industry, demonstrating deep understanding and knowledge of the category.
Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency
  1. Responsible for all outcomes, quality control, and the health of the relationship with the client across all disciplines, practices, and facets of the business internal and external.
  2. Build strong client relationships to understand the needs and requirements to proactively support the day-to-day delivery of projects.
  3. Responsible for driving cross-client collaboration to drive both business growth and strategic alliances across industries.
  4. Set the yearly strategic roadmap with the client on business transformation by becoming the trusted consultant and authority on the client’s consumer journey.
  5. Ensure that the brand strategy, client messaging, and deliverables (from planning to rollout) are consistent, serving as a brand guardian.
  6. Responsible for the smooth operation of day-to-day workstreams and foster positive collaboration between senior team members, strategy & creative colleagues, and all other experts to facilitate smooth process and project management delivery.
Innovative & Analytical Mindset
  1. Able to think strategically, creatively, and analytically to challenge the clients’ partners and propose innovative solutions to briefs.
  2. Own the clients and partners’ relationships as a trusted advisor.
  3. Able to predict emerging market trends in specific categories and quickly grasp trends and dynamics of other categories to create new business opportunities.
  4. Adopt an always-on innovation mindset, with a hunger for delivering competitive advantage for your client and cascade it to your team and key partners (strategy/creative).
  5. Identify growth opportunities and solutions within the assigned clients for Publicis Group’s vertical or services (media, CRM…).
  6. Capable of developing and sharing a strategic vision that others can aspire to and commit to, with the confidence to adjust and adapt in the dynamic world.
  7. Able to use storytelling to connect with internal and external stakeholders in a compelling manner to influence and inspire.
  8. Able to handle complex issues and make decisions even when missing information.
  9. Able to proactively develop meaningful relationships with key decision-makers across functions.
  10. Accept responsibility for client problems, manage conflict, and actively work to solve issues internally and externally.
  11. Able to build succession plans and grow and mentor future talent.
Qualifications
  1. Experience in a client-facing leading role.
  2. Management experience of at least 6-8+ subordinates.
  3. Excellent understanding of the end-to-end communication ecosystem, with a deep understanding of digital, data usages, and technology.
  4. Experience in planning, strategy, managing, and activating multichannel campaigns.
  5. BSc degree (or similar) in Marketing, Digital Technologies, Business Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
