Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Job Summary The FP&A function performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models to provide information & insights to senior management to make important business decisions. The FP&A analyst will be required to assist with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with close processes. The candidate must possess strong analytical, organizational, excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. The candidate must also be adaptable and a quick learner with an eye for details. Principal Accountabilities
- Regular monitoring and tracking of revenue & expenses for a SaaS business
- Review of revenue recognition to ensure that revenue is being booked in line with the terms of the contract
- Creation and management of customer contracts repository
- Computation, tracking and reporting of various SaaS business metrics and unit economics
- Build analytical processes to support revenue & expense analysis and validation
- Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of expense booking
- Analysis of budget vs actuals along with detailed explanation for variance
- Working closely with internal departments to prepare the expense plan and forecast
- Preparation of the monthly MIS
- Preparation of standard & adhoc presentations for Board & Management meetings
- Support opex management and work on cost optimization initiatives
- CA/MBA with 4-5years of overall experience of which at least 2 yrs is in an FP&A role.
- Should be pro-active, self-motivated, energetic, and mature person who is result oriented.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Must be adaptable and a quick learner.
