Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall maintenance of machinery, facilities, and utilities system.
• Responsible for the overall maintenance and process of production equipment to achieve the desired OEE performance.
• Responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of all equipment to achieve plant reliability and ensure continuous production without interruption.
• To set up a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure preventive maintenance is performed effectively and timely for reliable and sustainable performance.
• To ensure operation of all equipment fulfills all regulatory requirements, including GMP, ISO, DOSH, DOE, etc.
• Establish all relevant SOPs and checklists according to requirements and ensure adherence. Review and update them accordingly.
• To establish a robust process to ensure all equipment operates consistently and achieves the yield target.
• Responsible for driving improvement in yield performance, machine uptime, on-time preventive maintenance, and on-time calibration without failure.
• To lead the Engineering team and develop the team to have the right technical competency to excel in maintaining the system, including providing proper equipment training.
• To manage departmental costs and develop cost reduction programs for plant maintenance.
• To support all new machine purchases, tests, installations, and plant expansion projects.
• Reinforce current good manufacturing practice requirements and follow the quality management system to ensure equipment compliance with ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems and GMP requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining machines in good condition and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to ISO 22000:2018, GMP, OSHA, and EQA.
• To lead department KPI and work as a team to achieve overall company KPI.
• To participate in HSE activities and create safety awareness among team members.
• To be responsible for the implementation of lean manufacturing and drive continuous improvement for the plant in all processes.
• To undertake job-related tasks as assigned by superior or management.

• Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical/mechatronic engineering or its equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on working experience in supervisory and managerial positions in engineering management in MNCs related to manufacturing of aquaculture, animal nutrition, agriculture, chemical, food processing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or equivalent products.
• Possesses strong Autocad skills; knowledge in PLC Programming is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in English & Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience in using ERP and/or SAP will be an added advantage.
• Solid leadership skills and abilities.
• Solid achievements in organizational restructure, transformation, and change management.
• Good strategic thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication, people, and performance management skills.
• Working experience in a matrix organization.
