In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and intuitive user experiences for casual games and client projects. You will collaborate with both internal and external game development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand player needs, design game mechanics, and create engaging user experiences. A strong understanding of Figma for wireframing and prototyping is essential for this role, as you will use Figma extensively to develop design assets and communicate functionality.ResponsibilitiesCreate wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs in Figma that clearly communicate the user experience and functionality of our games.Design and iterate on game mechanics, player flows, and user interfaces.Work closely with game developers to ensure the user experience is implemented to a high standard.Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business goals.Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights.Help establish and maintain design standards for the company.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging design patterns.RequirementsA strong portfolio showcasing UX design skills and problem-solving ability.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in graphic design, user experience design, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience in UX design for PC, mobile, or web applications.Proficiency in Figma is essential, with a deep understanding of wireframing and prototyping using the tool.Experience with other design tools such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.Knowledge of game development and game design principles.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.BenefitsCompetitive compensation with structured performance and career development check-ins.Health insurance coverage.Additional budget for conferences you are interested in.Personal development budget to fuel your passions and desire to learn (Arkadians are taking classes in not only Excel and leadership, but also interior design and even swimming!).A unique culture of transparency, true teamwork and fun.Summer Fridays: to have more fun in the sun.The above benefits may differ slightly depending on your location/country.For candidates based in Portugal, this full-time role currently offers the flexibility of remote work, complemented by occasional in-person events.
