DCS Engineer

About your new role: We are looking to hire an Automation Engineer to join the Automation Team supporting our Multinational BiotechClient based in Cork. The selected candidate will be involved in the design, configuration, implementation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and change controls for this client. Ideally, the successful candidate would have experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology sectorsand must haveprevious DCS\PLC experience. GDP/CSV mindset is essential. What you will be doing: Designing, building, configuring and validating changes on the site DCS (Foxboro platform). Responsible for configuring different Foxboro DCS applications and software Supporting the Day to Day operations. Executing test cases. Reviewing Functional\Design requirements and maintaining documentation for control systems. Maintaining the validated state of the site control systems in line with Client quality standards What you will bring: Proven experience as an Automation Engineer with increased levels of responsibility. Experience designing, implementing and supporting automation solutions for clients in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industries Good knowledge of GMP manufacturing, GAMP lifecycle and quality management processes employed in the pharmaceutical sector Experience with DCS or PLC Batch software design on SI or site-based projects. Good multi-tasking, analytical & problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with an ability to engage with management and engineering functions Works well in a team environment Requires a bachelors degree equivalent in Mechatronic, Chemical, Electrical or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field 3+ years experience as an Automation Engineer/Control Systems Engineer or Software Engineer or related occupation About Cognizant -Cognizant (Nasdaq-100: CTSH) is one of the world's leading professional services companies, transforming clients' business, operating and technology models for the digital era.
