Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Risk Engineer, seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas of Risk can be mitigated as best as possible so that the client project can be delivered to their satisfaction.

We envisage success in this role to include:

Planning, costing and scheduling metrics and tools (work breakdown structure), collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labour hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract labour), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analyzing and reporting (earned value, productivity and risk analysis).

Developing project master schedule, updating, monitoring and reviewing contractor construction schedules, submittals, material delivery, procurement logs and daily follow-up in addition to the necessary productivity measurement studies and associated corrective measures.

Implementing 'Work Order' procedures in conjunction with QA/QC staff.

Identifying and tracking changes, actual and potential, to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the client and project management.

Participating in contract administration.

Reviewing and approving contractor's work programs submissions.

Responsible for assisting with overall management of comprehensive corporate risk management/insurance program with a concentration on risk identification, risk transfer and risk retention techniques.

Coordinates closely with operations/project management, safety, human resources, legal and estimating while implementing risk management policies and procedures to protect company's assets and minimize liability exposures.

Draft, review or recommend any engineering related documents as required.

Provide progress reports.

Ensure and review risk management compliance related to Projects.

Coordinate all aspects of contract review as relates to insurance and bonds issues, including coordination of contract review with legal.

Analyse and understand insurable risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities; interact with operational groups to ensure coordination between project activities, exposures, and appropriate insurance coverage.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor of Engineering or relevant, from an accredited University or College program with a minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management of large-scale infrastructure, landscaping and building projects and programmes.

Minimum 3 years of experience with roles similar to proposed role.

Experience in risk management tools, methods, and techniques and the ability to perform independently.

Competence in Monte Carlo simulation, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, and other leading Risk schedule and cost sensitivity modelling tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
