We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.This position reports to the Director, Process and Civil Engineering.This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.Your role within the team:Support the objectives of the Process and Civil Engineering Division.Manage forecasted staffing levels to meet project and department needs.Prepare and deliver training and development plans that support knowledge transfer and skills proficiency.Implement strategic initiatives that improve department and business performance.Own and implement department action plans.Provide technical support to projects on emergent issues.Support business development activities.Interface with customers to foster strong relationships.Drive innovation.Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an employer?Because we offer:The opportunity to work on various major projects for internal and external clients.An exciting environment where work-life balance is important.A wide array of learning and development opportunities.Competitive pay, flexible benefits, an employee share plan, and a defined contribution pension plan.A work environment focused on health and safety.The ideal candidate:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university.Over ten (10) years of combined technical and supervisory / management experience.Licensed Professional Engineer in a Canadian Province or eligible within one year of hire.Security Clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada is a condition of employment.Demonstrated leadership and sound people management skills.Demonstrated commitment to implementing a strong safety culture.Experience managing a unionized workforce is an asset.Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Strong organization and time management skills.Ability to lead in a dynamic work environment.Ability to interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders (peers, clients, suppliers, Authority Having Jurisdiction).Ability to network and build relationships with an eye on teamwork and collaboration.Working knowledge of Process Systems Design and Control, and related analysis and design software.Working knowledge of CANDU nuclear plant design, operation and maintenance is an asset.Working knowledge of nuclear industry codes and standards.Manage a team of 20-30 Process Systems Engineers.Performance manage staff, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching and performance enhancement.Focus on talent management, including career development, knowledge transfer, and succession planning.Familiarity with nuclear quality management systems.Are you up for this challenge?
