Culture fuels our everyday work with a diverse group of 5300+ across 6 continents with global expertise in strategy, creative, design, content creation, eComm, production and print management.Position SummaryThe VP Sales will be accountable for the strategic commercial strategy of the total Merchandising Services Group. Responsible for leading a team of Account Managers who have direct accountability for the day-to-day sales management of Merchandising Services customers. The role will not exceed more than 8 direct reports and the portfolio value can reach approximately $100 Million. The portfolio will be based on client revenue being driven by Merchandising Services. Strategic thinking with respect to new lines of business and strong negotiation skills on both buy and sell are critical.Location: in NA, preferred at SGS & Co regional office locationsEssential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & ResultsPerformance Management of the team with an emphasis on organic revenue growth, business development, revenue mix enhancement through expanded product and services resulting in increased revenue growth.Strategic guidance and leadership on account prioritization, right sizing opportunities for portfolio, and account structure resulting in cost savings and top line performance.Develop and implement strategic sales plans in alignment with corporate goals and tailored for each individual customer resulting in a customer centric organization.Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates resulting in disciplined price negotiations and production efficiencies.Develop and nurture senior level relationships within each of the priority customers within the portfolio; deliver sales presentations, aid in RFP process to key clients in coordination with Key Account Directors (KADs) and BD team resulting in effective voice of the customer solutions and extending revenues into new service areas.Proactively engage Design and Ops leadership to drive right capabilities and resourcing.Direct staffing, develop individual training plans for direct reports and provide timely performance feedback & evaluations to develop our next generation of sales leaders and drive best practice people processes.Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements to control costs.Ensure adoption and compliance to centralized selling tools/ selling process and ONE SGS; working in a collaborative, team selling approach resulting in ongoing sustainable behavior changes and top line performance growth.Coach and mentor ADs and reinforce the organizations' goals and values resulting in a high performing culture.Work with Operations teams to vet and onboard outsourcing providers.Participate in procurement negotiations for all services and consumables required to deliver Merchandising Services strategy.Lead the development of a line of New Services valued at $25 Million alongside MS Group President.Educational & Experience Minimum RequirementsThis position requires the following knowledge and skills:Bachelor's degree and more than 15 years of experience in FCMG Sales Organization or related field.FCMG and Agency/Client Service a plus.Experience Managing complex accounts.Experience in Marketing or Agency in addition to Sales Leadership preferred.Experience managing a strategic team of Regional or National customers.Direct Experience in Merchandising Services or adjacent industries.Fluent in English, French and/or Spanish is a bonus.Competency Requirements15 years of relevant industry experience.Demonstrated experience in Strategic Account Management, Sales leadership and Customer Relationships.Exhibits strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm and motivate relationship-building.Uses interpersonal savvy to rally internal and external resources to help bring long-term, strategic recommendations to life.Brings both strategic and management acumen while effectively leveraging end-to-end tools and processes.Has the ability to provide big picture strategic thinking, vision and insights to drive big ideas and initiatives.Builds one-on-one relationships with senior level clients to foster a partnership.Adopts a proactive approach to anticipating internal and external concerns.Owns the crucial ability to reactively address and remedy current as well as unanticipated situations.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary.We are committed to ensuring equal opportunity in all aspects of employment, including recruitment.
