Overview Hire Resolve's client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join their team in Umhlanga. Responsibilities: Design, analyze, and manage water resource systems such as water supply, stormwater, wastewater, and irrigation systems. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM. Develop and evaluate design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects. Ensure that projects are finished on schedule and under budget by working together with project managers, other engineers, and clients. Review and approve engineering design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations. Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and other stakeholders. Ensure that water resource systems are designed and installed per applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to water resources engineering. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in water engineering Proven experience in water resource engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration - Bonus Strong knowledge of water engineering principles and practices Proficiency in using software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling In-depth knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to water engineering. Proficiency in Civil 3D and other water software packages. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proven track record of delivering successful water engineering projects Benefits: Salary: negotiable
