Direct Reporting Line: Sales Operations Manager The Independent Institute of Education is South Africa's largest registered and accredited private provider of higher education.The IIE Varsity College , IIE Vega and IIE MSA National Office in Durban has a vacancy for an Admissions Specialist. The Admissions Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting academic excellence by ensuring the integrity of student records, facilitating compliance with policies and regulations, and providing essential services to students and the relevant student recruitment departments . Duties and Responsibilities: New Student Admissions and Compliance Ensuring brands compliance with government regulations and accreditation standards related to student admissions and student records. Ensuring brands compliance with data privacy laws (i.e. POPIA) regarding the handling and dissemination of student information. Approval of international, conditional and other South African admissions as agreed with the IIE Office Of the Registrar (IIE OOR), including tracking and auditing of these admissions using relevant SIMS reports. Managing the tracking and follow up of all USAf & SAQA applications to ensure compliance to admissions requirements and conditional registration deadlines (in conjunction with campus student recruitment admissions teams).p Managing the tracking and follow up of international students' study visa submissions and ensuring accurate reporting to the OOR in order to meet the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) regulations (in conjunction with campus student recruitment admissions teams). Oversight and coordination of the de-registration process with campuses where students fail to submit the required documentation by the stipulated deadline. Support of new student admissions process Policy and procedure review with the IIE Office of the Registrar. Developing and updating of The IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA & IIE-Vega admission procedure documents. Approval of all applicable admissions escalation queries and ensuring that the agreed upon turnaround times are adhered to between the sites & the OOR. Monitoring IIE qualifications on brand websites and communicating any errors or omissions to the relevant stakeholders for correction. Training and campus support Training of student recruitment teams on admissions. Regular monitoring of campuses compliance to the admission policies and legislation. Coordination and oversight of annual campus new student registration audits. Supporting campuses with escalation queries throughout the sales cycle. Competencies Required: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate to a range of audiences in a way that communication is clear, concise, specific and accurate and accessible to the target audience. Capacity to get others to follow by example and the ability to operate within matrix management and communication structures. High delivery ability, demonstrated capacity to organise own work and work against tight deadlines. Very strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proven ability to work constructively as part of a team, display initiative and work strategically and independently with limited supervision. Proven record of managing projects to a successful conclusion. Able to acquire new skills to keep up with new technologies and or new knowledge areas within relevant disciplines. Minimum Qualification Requirements: Minimum of a National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) and/ OR Bachelors Degree (or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification) plus minimum of 5 years experience in higher education admissions and administration. Minimum Experience Requirements: 5 years experience in higher education admissions/administration and compliance. Experience in international, conditional and other South African student admissions.
