Senior Scientist - Oil and Petrochemicals (CBFS/ Feedstock/ Carbon Black)

About the role:Develop world class feedstock competences and capabilities. Identify gaps across the organization related to feedstock capabilities and competency and develop roadmap to fill those gaps. Implement Robust and uniform CBFS test methods in place across the organization and train for New /enhanced test methods & protocols.Enhance knowledge about CBFS and its role for producing high quality product.Develop a reliable database and establish possible correlations between CBFS properties and process efficiency, stability, and product quality issues.Consolidate database of all tested oil and corresponding process conditions and product properties to provide high quality and high consistency product. Create Value through proper and time driven evaluation of existing and new supplier of CBFS.Provide all the support to procurement and operation team in evaluating existing and new sources of CBFS. Run all necessary root-cause-analysis for CBFS related issues (process or product issues). SOP's for effective and rapid CBFS evaluation are in place for existing and new suppliers.Reports on CBFS test issued as quick as possible (not later than 10 days after reception).Enable the use of cheaper / low quality feedstock without compromising productivity and product quality. Investigate, identify and develop tool kit (i.e. physical, chemical treatment) that will transform lower quality and cheaper oil into a valuable feedstock. Identification of possible solutions to improve quality of CBFS (i.e., lower impurities) PoC /industrial implementation of viable solutions.Design and drive execution of feedstock roadmap in order to provide competitive edge. Generate new ideas and drive project related to CBFS for the development of new products having demanding specifications, lower footprint. Good to have:Master's degree in Science (Chemistry) or Technology/ Chemical Engineering/ Petroleum Engineering and Oil Technology) or Ph. D (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering/ Petroleum Engineering and Oil Technology))Prior 8 - 10 years of relevant industry experience for master's degree holder candidates. In-depth knowledge about petroleum products, oils and related processes. Good understanding of Carbon Black Feedstock (CBFS) and carbon black production process.
