Dublin Clubhouse. This is a Specified Purpose, Part-Time, 19.5 hours contract. Starting Salary - €29,417 - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people living with brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives. You will foster autonomy, personal growth and development and support persons served to engage in opportunities for meaningful social, educational, vocational and leisure activities. As a highly trained specialist you will be a crucial part of our team. You will work with brain injury survivors on a day-to-day basis, providing the guidance and support they need to achieve their own goals. You will be an expert communicator with hands-on experience of the impacts of brain injury for the person and their families. You will be supported by a clinical and management team. You will constantly build your skills and undergo ongoing training to ensure you can respond to the needs of the people you support. Because every brain injury is unique, you will have a varied role tailored to individual needs Role Duties: Form a rapport with person served and maintain a positive, constructive, and professional relationship. Facilitate and co-ordinate the daily activities of person served within the Clubhouse/Day Service by working with them and their family in formulating Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP's) Research and deliver appropriate group rehabilitation sessions based on identified goals, needs and interests. This may include skills development in areas such as planning and organising, memory, communication, personal safety, independent travel skills, money management, preparation for work and employment skills, skills for using local facilities such as banks, post office, library, shops, restaurants etc. Assist and encourage person served to achieve their goals identified in their IRP's Assist persons' served with budgeting, money management and disability benefits where applicable in line with Organisational policy Undertake the role of Keyworker to specified persons served when assigned Support person served in gaining day occupation, leisure opportunities and employment Comply with quality systems such as CARF and New Directions requirements for service provision For a full list of all duties, please view a copy of the job description via the below link Essential Criteria: A relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a minimum QQI Level 5 standard Full driving licence A person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brian injury Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
